New Candle – A Life On The Ocean Wave

Milana has added a new addition to its range of luxury candles.

‘A Life On The Ocean Wave’ was released on 5^th March, bringing with it a fresh seaside scent of ocean mist, fresh citrus, sea salt and sea moss.

As with all other Milana Candles, it is made with 100% natural soy wax for a cleaner burn of approximately 40 hours.

With every candle purchased, 10% will be sent to the Royal Marines Trust Fund. This fund aims to make life more comfortable for serving, retired and injured Royal Marines. They also aim to provide support for those who may be serving in high threat areas at a later date, and help those who may have lost family members in service.

Bed of Roses Candle Gets a Thumbs Up

Milana’s ‘Bed of Roses’ candle received a rave review from TheThumbsUp.co.uk

The review, written by blogger Mrs C, was praised for living up to its namesake for ‘really smell[ing] like a bed of roses’.

Milana Candles was also given much acclaim from Mrs C for being 100% soy wax (along with all other of Milana Candles’s products), and therefore providing a much ‘cleaner burn’ – better for both ourselves and the environment.

The 40 hour life-span of the candle was met with approval from the blogger – a particularly desirable trait for someone who uses candles regularly.

Feature in Eluxe Magazine

Milana Candles, renown for harmonising music with fragrance, has been featured in the luxury Eluxe Magazine.

The article, by Arwa Lodhi, discusses some of the magazine’s favourites of the collection, and praises the unique blending of scents and songs.

This was particularly noted with the ‘Heart of Gold’ candle, inspired by the Neil Young song, with its ‘vibrant notes of citrus orange’, ‘middle notes of sweet, woody rosewood,’  and an intense flowery base.

The ‘Love Street’ candle, based on the 1968 song by the Doors, was also noted in the article for its ‘languid notes of Madagascan vanilla’, to give to youthful, sweet candy scent – perfect to set a delicate an ambient mood this Valentine’s Day.

Competition Winner

Our create a fragrance contest winner was picked and Susan Bannister was the lucky winner (well done Susan), we loved your fragrance and thought it fitted best in with the lyrics of the song ‘Heart of Gold’.  “I’ve been to Redwood, I crossed the ocean
for a heart of gold”.

Susan’s fragrance was Redwood (Ylang Ylang, Orange & Rosewood) which will now be tested and made up in the Heart of Gold candle range and be sold online shortly.
